Mountain Top Forge
Good things to hold in your hand, carry on your
person, admire and or collect, that have a cutting edge.
Gemstones, both precious and semi precious
hold as much mysticism and beauty as a finely
crafted hand forged weapon.
In concert these elements incorporated
together enhance the virtue and value each
alone hold.
Whether it be a Black Nephrite Jade inlay
handle set in sterling silver or nickel,  a
fine tourmaline or emeralds set in yellow
gold along a guard, Turquoise
embellishments with pure silver wire
wrapped handle, or moonstone cabochon
eyes in a snakes head pommel, along with
these aspects add in a hand forged Damascus
or tool steel blade, and it is something that
becomes especially unique and desirable, a
treasure to hold in high value.

Up in the rugged
Appalachian Mountains
of Eastern West Virginia
The elements such as iron carbon vanadium
chromium silicon beryllium manganese,
along with the many other material traces
that come together to form the steel alloys
in the metals of knives, so too do these
constitute the  elements that come together
in nature we know as gemstones. Heat, time
and pressure are the processes needed for
the creation of all of these beautiful things
in their rough natural state. Through the
hand and mind of the craftsman it seems
appropriate to bring them together in one
form, something that is all at once a tool, a
weapon, art, artifact, keepsake, an item of
great personal value to it's owner.
